Arinoo Mazafati Dates are the most delicious dates amoung Iranian ones which are usually used as Rutab. The color of the date is black and dark brown with the moisture content (15-35%) depends largely on the harvesting time and the place where the date grows. The size of the date is usually between 2.5-4.5 cm and the date has a very useful flesh on it. The most delicious mazafati date is the one which tends to grows in the city of Bam in southern east area of Iran. The Bam region has around 28000 Hectares of the lands under the harvest of mazafati date from which 5000 Hectares pertains to young palm trees. Jiroft and Kahnuj in Kerman province are the main regions where mazafati grows. This fresh dates grow in Kerman region. The coloring of this variety is black and its taste is very delicious.
Like all other varieties of dates, the Mazafati date is loaded with essential nutrients, including – among others – vitamins (A, B, C and E), minerals, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, protein, fiber, carbohydrates and simple sugars. 100 g of Mazafati dates contains approximately 1.1 g of protein, 0.15 g of fat, 74.97 g carbohydrates, 6.7 g of dietary fiber and 113 g of sugar.

Mazafati dates should be kept in cold storage in 0 to 4 ºC. you can keep it for 2 years at lower temperature. However semi dry mazafati dates because of lower juice, can be kept in 0 to 10 ºC.
